Relaxing at Ace Hotel and Suites

My son just reached his 4th year this May 2014. And reaching this is another extra milestone in his journey in life.

Let's take a look on how he took his mark on this.

  • He learn to muster his potty trainer which at first he is quite afraid of this change.
  • He learns to tell us when he is going to pee then, even though, he have diapers. Which eventually, he  doesn't have to wear it.
  • He knows how to sing "Twinkle twinkle" in full song, plus with an Indian twist and instrumental portion.
  • He plays a lot and he also learns to put back his toys.
  • He have this look asking for permission if he can go for what he is thinking.
  • He learns how to use spoon and fork for eating with his favorite rice with fish or noodles.
  • He loves to watch cartoons and blue planet (BBC) , and if he really like it, he would play it back again and again.

I thank God for giving him these such learning and we look forward for another year of blessings.
He'll be going to school soon this June 2014.

Another thing, he had his birthday together with "A Mother's Day" occasion in Ace Hotel and Suites. This hotel is located at United Street, Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Since I have reserved this with an Ace VIP Card, we get the privilege of having the additional 1 night stay at the hotel.
The hotel would ask for a 2,000 php each night for the deposit fee, but this is refundable.
Our reservation for one night includes breakfast buffet and two complimentary adult tickets for water spa, with dinner buffet for Mother's day. We have to pay the additional kiddie ticket about 250 php.

The hotel have two buffet place, which is the Ace Coffee Lounge and the Sky Garden buffet.
The Ace Coffee Lounge located at the ground floor have the ambiance of overlooking the water spa, while the Sky Garden located at the 8th floor have a beautiful garden and sightseeing of the Ortigas Business district and surroundings of Pasig.

They also have mini stores at the ground floor of the building like ShareTea, 7-11, Figaro, Persia Grill and lots more. The hotel also have KTV at the 2nd floor for the ones who are fond of singing and music.

We did have a great time staying there and the crew are very hospitable.
You may check their website and book a reservation at www.acehotelsuites.com.

How to receive a parcel in EMS Philpost

Here are the steps on how to receive a parcel in EMS Philpost:

  1. You will receive a notice card from EMS Philpost with an option of inspecting or pick up the delivery.
I think, either of it, you'll need to go to EMS PhilPost office.
Note: If you bought online, take note of the value. You will be needing to pay the BIR and VAT taxes.
  1. Go to EMS PhilPost office in Domestic road.
  1. Show to the guard the notice card and go to Customer Service Window. It will give  you number in queue.
Note: Make sure you brought something with you like a book or a newspaper since it will take several  hours to process your request depending on the volume of people getting their package.
  1. When your number is called, it will show you to a room with transparent windows to open in your presence the package delivered to you. You will then inspected how much is the value of the objects in the package.
  2. Then, they will call you for the computation of the taxes with formula. If you bought the package in a different currency, it will then be converted to USD currency and get its latest currency conversion in peso before the calculation of the taxes.
  3. Then, you will go to a center aisle to pay 50 php, which I think for the processing fee.
  1. Wait until your name will be called for releasing of the delivery package.

That's it your done.

If in case the package is not yet released on that day, you can come back anytime within 60 days of receiving the notice card because if not, it will be returned to the sender. Just a tip.
